§ 24-19. Purpose.

  • The Monroe County Telecommunications Authority (MCTA) is established as an independent agency of the county to establish and implement policies and procedures, consistent with the provisions of the Cable Television Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992 and the Rules and Regulations of the Federal Communications Commission to regulate the rates of cable television systems operating within the county and the municipalities therein and to ensure maximum efficient and economical programming and services to the consumers of cable television services within the county.
