§ 114-99. Purpose and Intent.

(a)

The intent of this article is as follows:

(1)

To protect the public health, safety and welfare;

(2)

To provide minimum standards for landscaping new developments or for redevelopment;

(3)

To enhance the appearance of the County, help improve water quality, help conserve water, and screen unattractive views; and

(4)

To provide standards for the design, installation, and maintenance of landscaping that adheres to the Best Management Principles of a Florida-Friendly Landscaping ^TM , to preserve, protect and enhance the natural resources, encourage creative landscape design, construction and management to minimize the potential adverse impacts associated with adjacent land uses of varying intensities.
